Kingston Skate Park Caricatures

After getting back late from Wysing I a few hours sleep then I was up early to go to the community day at Kingston skate park. Really good park and I did quite a few drawings -a couple of examples below.
They are okay considering how tired I was...

Wysing

Had the job of documenting the The Wysing Arts Centre annual festival of music and art on September 1st.
Tried to do observational drawings of the performers in the dark, some worked some didn't- I don't just do caricatures you know!

It will be a week or two until all the images are finished. Some will be reworked and others are to be drawn from photos- there are even some that are fine the way they are!

Thanks to Artists and Programmes Curator Gareth Bell-Jones who asked me to do the work.

Anyway I'm not going to post any illustrations just yet, so here is a photo of the 'living legend' Damo Suzuki during his set.

Busy August

I had quite a busy August... which is why I wasn't here, sorry blog viewers!

Below is a photo of (left to right) Panagiota, me and Karl. We were at the Kingston food festival 10th-12th of August. It was a great event with lots of... food, plus a chilli eating contest! Panagiota was drawing portraits whilst Karl and I were caricaturing.
